A fine 19th century Indian bronze Dipa Lakshmi oil lamp. These lamps were donated to temples as offerings which was considered a sacred act which would bestow good fortune on the giver.

This one has a very good original patina, and fine detail, a superior quality casting. She is 81 cm tall and 30 cm dia at the base.
